Procurement of New Equipment

A portion of Morgan Shop’s equipment rental is used to for replacement of old and depleted equipment and vehicles. Morgan Shop develops detailed specifications for the new light and heavy-duty equipment and vehicles for use in a competitive bid process. The bid process is completed through the County’s Purchasing Division. The bid is awarded to the agency that can provide the lowest cost to the County while meeting all the equipment and vehicle specifications. Morgan Shop also assists with developing specifications for use by other departments when selecting new equipment and vehicles or alternatives.
