Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy

The current 2022-2027 Stanislaus County Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) was approved by the Board of Supervisors on June 14, 2022 with Resolution No. 2022-0278. The U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) requires that a region seeking Federal EDA grant funding maintain an active CEDS and that the economic development priorities and areas of focus be contained in the approved strategy. Compliance with the EDA requirement makes available Federal grant funding opportunities to local jurisdictions through an ongoing competitive process. Demographic and project information is refreshed annually to keep information current.

The Stanislaus County Economic Development Unit of the Chief Executive Office is tasked with the development of land inventory for job creation, fee and incentives program development/maintenance, various interfaces with City partners on sphere modifications, annexations, and master agreements and Regional Tourism facilitation which include outreach projects aimed at improving the image and perception of our communities and our region.
