Pre-Draft Community Workshops and Public Hearing Dates

Stanislaus County will hold six (6) community workshops and three (3) public hearings before adopting a final map. In addition, there will be one (1) final hearing adopting a final map. Pre-draft community workshops and public hearings will be posted 5 days in advance and will indicate the date, time, and location. Pre-draft community workshops and public hearings will be recorded, uploaded, and available to view after each meeting.

How to Participate

Pre-Draft Community Workshops

• In-Person Comment Options

  Members of the public may provide public input during each pre-draft community workshop. Any member of the public wishing to provide public input shall be permitted to be heard once for up to 5 minutes.

  Hand-in written comments to a redistricting staff member at any pre-draft community workshop.

• Written Comment Options
  • Please email your comment to the Clerk of the Board at cobsupport@stancounty.com by 4:00 p.m. the day before meeting. Please include the word “Redistricting” and the date of the meeting in the subject line of the email. Contact information is optional.
  • Mail a comment to Clerk of the Board of Supervisors - 1010 10th Street, Suite 6700, Modesto, CA 95354.
  • Written comments are kept on file as part of the official record, and will not be read aloud.

Public Hearing

• In-Person Comment Options

  Members of the public may address the Board in person to make a public comment. Matters under the jurisdiction of the Board, and not on the posted agenda, may be addressed by the general public at the beginning of the regular agenda and any off-agenda matters before the Board for consideration. However, California law prohibits the Board from taking action on any matter which is not on the posted agenda unless it is determined to be an emergency by the Board of Supervisors. Any member of the public wishing to address the Board during the “Public Comment” period shall be permitted to be heard once for up to 5 minutes unless the Chairperson of the Board sets a different time limit.

  Individuals addressing the Board must complete a Public Comment Form. Comment Forms will be available at the entrance or front counter. Print your name and city of residence or group you are representing clearly on the form. Give the form to Clerk staff. Please advise Clerk staff if you need audio/visual equipment. The chairperson will invite each individuals to make a verbal comment during the public comment period.

Notice Regarding Non-English Speakers

Pre-Draft Community Workshops and Public Hearings are conducted in English. Live translation in Spanish will be provided at each meeting.
