The County and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 521 have been negotiating in good faith for a successor Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) since April 2018. The parties have met at least 23 times and are still apart on several key economic issues. SEIU, Local 521 has made several public statements that are inconsistent with the messages the County has shared with SEIU’s bargaining team and which are unsupported by the facts. This website is intended to provide factual information to the community regarding the status of bargaining.
