BRIEF HISTORY

Trading and shipping point between Newman and Patterson, nineteen miles west of Modesto on the Pacheco Pass highway. The Community is named after Isaac Crow, Owner of Crows Boat Landing. The original town was located at the San Joaquin River, but the coming of the railroad caused the town to be moved to the present site. Dairying and grain farming big crops. (Joseph Burton Vasche)
