Kirk Ford
Director
Planning and Community Development

Kirk Ford is the Director of Planning and Community Development for Stanislaus County. He was appointed to the position of Director in December 2008. He is also the Executive Director of the Stanislaus County Redevelopment Agency, and Director of the Stanislaus County Airport Land Use Commission.

He holds an A.A. Degree in Zoology from El Camino College, a B.S. Degree in Wildlife Management from Humboldt State University, and a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana. Kirk has been employed in the Department of Planning and Community Development since June 1995. Prior to his employment with Stanislaus County, he spent about 15 years working for various environmental consulting and engineering firms throughout northern California and seasonally for the US Forest Service. Kirk is married, the father of two adult children and helps run the family ranch in his spare time.
