Health is a Family Effort
On December 1, 2015 the winners of the Healthy Choices’ Art and Essay contests were announced.
The theme for 2015 was “Health is a Family Effort.” The contests were open to students attending schools in: Gustine, Newman, and Patterson, in grades K-8th. The Art contest winners will have their artwork featured in the 2016 Healthy Choices Calendar (featured above).
“The Art and Essay contests are great ways to promote healthy life style choices. They get students thinking about health in a way that’s personal, fun, and engaging,” stated Jim DeMartini, Stanislaus County Supervisor and Chairman of the West Side Healthcare Advisory Taskforce.
The Art and Essay contests are sponsored annually by the West Side Healthcare Advisory Taskforce and help to promote a healthy community.
