The Adult System of Care provides outpatient treatment for adults from the age of 18 years with serious and persistent mental illness and/or alcohol or other drug abuse or addiction.

Services are provided at various locations throughout Stanislaus County and are referred to as Regional Teams.

Mental health rehabilitation & recovery services are provided for individuals who as a result of serious and persistent mental illness, have difficulty maintaining stable residence, significant inability to engage in productive activities and daily responsibilities, or experience frequent or lengthy psychiatric hospitalization:

• Specialized services for dually diagnosed clients (concurrent mental illness and substance abuse)
  
  
• Assistance in obtaining employment & education training
  
  
• Assistance in obtaining training for employment & education
  
  
• Assistance in obtaining housing
  
  
• Peer support, peer directed activities and groups

Family support:

• Educational and recovery groups for clients & family members

Treatment/Recovery services provided for those with alcohol and/or other drug addictions:

• Group counseling
• Family support & education
• Referral for residential treatment
• After-care services
