Dear Vendor:

It just got easier to do business with Stanislaus County. This system will make doing business with the County easier by providing vendors up-to-date information regarding bid requests. Some of the key features and benefits of BidsOnline™ include the ability to:

  • Set up and Maintain your own profile as a new or existing vendor.
  • Receive automatic e-mail notifications for bid opportunities based on the product/service categories you have selected for your organization.
  • Search for all types of requests, addenda, plan holders, bid results, and contract awards at any time.
  • Request and download bid/RFP document(s) when available.
  • Receive automatic addendum notification as a bid participant.
  • Submit electronic bidding, when required, allowing bid responses to be securely submitted on-line.

The County will be conducting all future bid and proposal solicitations on-line through the BidsOnline™ system. The bid line will continue to list only the current opened bids. Once those bids are closed the bid line will only give you the information to register with BidsOnline™. The Stanislaus County Department of Emergency Services will be using the Emergency Operations (EO) module to manage, maintain and retrieve up-to-date information on vendors that provide goods and services in the event of an emergency.

Current Vendors on the BidsOnline™ system:
The County will be sharing its BidsOnline™ portal with the City of Modesto which means that if you have already registered through City of Modesto’s web site, then you do not need to re-register. Please follow these instructions carefully to register. Your login and password will be the same for both sites.

To see if you are already registered, or to edit your current profile please use the link below. You can also register using the following steps:

  1. Vendors may also access the BidsOnline ™ site through the county website at
    http://www.planetbids.com/simonnewapp/StanislausCounty/bidsonline.cfm
  2. If you have not registered, click on the Register link above the Vendor Registration heading.
  3. Complete Steps 1 through 10 of the vendor registration form and submit.
  4. To edit, select "Edit Profile" from the top navigation choices. Complete and/or update all required fields.

Local Vendor Preference: If applicable, subject to the conditions set by Stanislaus County Code 2.24.125, when submissions are evaluated, a five percent (5%) local preference shall be deducted from the total dollar amount bid by local vendors on competitive quotes and bids. The total amount of local preference granted in a single bid shall not exceed $5,000 over a non-local vendor. The award shall be made at the full price of the quote or bid.
