General Bridge Request for Proposal/Statement of Qualifications (RFP/SOQ) for developing a Master list of qualified bridge engineers
River Road over San Joaquin River Seismic- This Bridge was built in 1961 and consists of reinforced concrete “T” girder main spans with reinforced concrete slab approach spans supported by reinforced concrete pier walls and reinforced concrete pile bents. The abutments consist of reinforced concrete diaphragms. The pier walls, pile bents, and abutments all utilize spread footings as well. The entire bridge span is approximately 647 linear feet in length and the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) volume is 3,900 vehicles per day. This bridge is shared between Stanislaus and Merced Counties.
Traffic Engineering Support
Claribel Road Widening Project, 2 miles of road widening between McHenry Avenue and Oakdale Road, includes a Traffic Signal at Coffee Road and Claribel Road and canal crossings along Coffee Road and Claribel Road. Requests for Proposals anticipated went out summer 2010.
Traffic Operations Study-The objective of this project is to identify capital improvement projects that will increase traffic operations within the County. This includes roadway and intersection widening, updated traffic controls, traffic signal re-timing, channelization, the addition of lanes, signs, and roadway striping improvements. Requests for Proposals for this project will be made available in early 2011.
