|
Welcome to the Stanislaus County Internship and Volunteer Program informational website. If you desire to be part of making our community a better place to live and work, an internship or volunteer position might be right for you.
Stanislaus County is a local government agency and one of the area’s largest employers. We offer career opportunities in a variety of public sector opportunities including careers in law enforcement, public administration, health services, social services, accounting, information technology and human resources. If you are a college student contemplating a career choice, the County offers both paid and un-paid student internships to assist you in making a public sector career choice.
Additionally, the County has a robust volunteer program open to high school students and interested citizens. Volunteers assist a variety of departments in delivering critical services throughout the community. Volunteer opportunities exist in assisting patients at the County’s Health Services Agency, working with animals at the Department of Animal Services, delivering Library books to homebound individuals, and more. The County’s Volunteer Program is administered through the Volunteer Center of the United Way.
