Stanislaus County Preliminary Grants for Frank Raines and La Grange OHV Park
The 30-day public review and comment period for the 2016/17 Grants and Cooperative Agreement Program provides an opportunity for the public to review the preliminary applications submitted to the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division for consideration during the current grant cycle. The public may provide comment to both the applicant and the OHMVR Division by emailing the contact person listed on the preliminary application and copying the HVMR Division at www.ohv.parks.ca.gov.


Frank Raines Regional Park

Seasonal Restriction:

Check the green box under “Frank Raines OHV” for park open/closed status.  Frank Raines’ OHV park is generally closed in the summer season and re-opened in the winter season.  This seasonal restriction applies only to the OHV section of the park.  Campgrounds and day-use remains open year round.

Hours of Operation:

  • Campgrounds are open 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
  • Off-Highway Vehicle Park opens Sunrise to Sundown/7 days a week in the winter season.

Directions to Frank Raines Regional Park:

Going NORTH to Patterson on Hwy 99, take the Patterson West Main St exit (0.3 mi.), make a left at W. Main St.(11.8 mi.), continue on to E. Las Palmas Avenue (2.9 mi.), turn left on S. 2nd St/CA-33 (0.6 mi.). Turn right at Sperry Ave. (2.9 mi.), continue on Del Puerto Canyon Rd. (16.9 mi.) to Frank Raines Regional Park.

From Hwy I-5 take the Patterson off ramp and proceed west on Diablo Grande Parkway to Del Puerto Canyon Road (~3/4 mile). Turn right and proceed seventeen (17) miles up the canyon to Frank Raines Regional Park.

From Modesto, off Hwy 99, take the Crows Landing exit and go to the right (south). Take J17 (W. Main Street from Turlock) until you get to Hwy 33 in Patterson. Turn south on Hwy 33, go two (2) miles to Sperry Road and turn west. Sperry Road becomes Diablo Grande Parkway at I-5. Proceed west on Diablo Grande Parkway to Del Puerto Canyon Road (~3/4 mile). Turn right and proceed seventeen (17) miles up the canyon to Frank Raines Regional Park.


LaGrange Regional Park

La Grange Regional Park

Seasonal Restriction: None

Hours of Operation:

  • Campgrounds are open 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
  • Off-Highway Vehicle Park opens Sunrise to Sundown/7 days a week.

Directions to La Grange Regional Park:

Go out Yosemite Boulevard (Highway 132); go through Waterford to J-59 (approximately 18 miles); then turn south (right); La Grange is approximately 3 miles down on the left side of the road. (There should be a sign indicating "La Grange Regional Park.)
