The Stanislaus County Clerk-Recorder's office is a passport acceptance agent. Our office will accept and verify all the information needed, collect the necessary fees, pictures and forms, and forward them to the Passport Agency. Your passport will be mailed directly to you from the passport agency. For US Passport questions and on-line applications please go to the Agencies Website: www.travel.state.gov
Regular Processing Time:
Regular Processing Time takes 6 Weeks.
Expedited Processing Time takes 10-15 Business Days
With each Application please bring the following Items:
- Two Passport Photos (2”X2”)
- Certified US Birth Certificate or Original Naturalization Certificate, or expired US Passport.
- Driver’s License or ID (must have a photo and birth date on same identification card) (children 17 and under are not required to have photo ID).
- Check or Money Order to Department of State in the amount of $75.00 – Children under the age of 16 years $60.00 Plus a separate check or cash to County Clerk in the amount of $25.00.
- Expedited Processing Check or Money Order to: Department of State in the amount of $135.00. Expedited Childs Fee (Under the age of 16) Check or Money Order in the amount of $120.00. Plus a separate check or cash to County Clerk in the amount of $25.00.
- New requirements apply for children age 15 and under please refer to the State Website www.travel.state.gov
- Applications are accepted from 8:00 A. M. to 3:00 P. M. Monday through Friday.
