Everyone can do something! Individuals, groups, families, and co-workers; the young and not so young, people with experience and skills, and people just starting out… There's an on-going or a one-time-only opportunity for everyone!

If you can find the time, we can find the need.

Parent Resource Center

Play games, sing songs and help children increase their developmental skills at the Parent Resource Center in Modesto and Turlock. Volunteers participate in interactive activities, arts and crafts, coloring and water play; assist small children with motor skills development; read aloud; and serve snacks while parents attend classes and parenting groups. Help is needed in Modesto from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays; from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday; and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays. Help is needed in Turlock from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

Donations of nonperishable breakfast, lunch and dinner food items are desperately needed to provide refreshments for children in child care and parents attending classes. We also need donations of art supplies for children’s projects.

The Parent Resource Center, a child abuse prevention agency, offers emotional and educational support to pregnant teens and at-risk families with children younger than 5.
