Everyone can do something! Individuals, groups, families, and co-workers; the young and not so young, people with experience and skills, and people just starting out… There's an on-going or a one-time-only opportunity for everyone!
If you can find the time, we can find the need. |
Stanislaus County Police Activities League (PAL)
Participate in fun, recreational activities with youth, a ages 6 to 18 (depending on the site), with the Stanislaus County Police Activities League in Empire, Keyes, and Modesto. Volunteer recreation leaders interact with youth in positive recreational and sports activities, arts and crafts, and dance; serve refreshments, and more. Volunteers may also assist with homework and tutoring activities. Indoor and outdoor activities are available at the Empire Elementary School, Keyes Community Center/Hatch Park, and Modesto's Oregon Park PAL sites Monday - Friday between 2 and 6 p.m. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and pass a fingerprint background screening through the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department. The mission of the PAL is to provide pro-active recreational, educational, cultural, and social programs for all youth, ages 6 to 18, in Stanislaus County. PAL sites provide unique opportunities for children to come together in a safe environment, get help with homework, work as teams, participate in structured activities, and interact with positive role models.
