Directions
Everyone can do something! Individuals, groups, families, and co-workers; the young and not so young, people with experience and skills, and people just starting out… There's an on-going or a one-time-only opportunity for everyone!
If you can find the time, we can find the need. |
Stanislaus County Library / Stanislaus Literacy Center
You can change a person’s life, and their children’s future, by opening doors through reading. ReadingWorks volunteers spend two to three hours per week increasing students basic reading skills, using an easy-to-follow, phonics-based curriculum.
ReadingWorks, a partnership of the Stanislaus Literacy Center and the Stanislaus County Library, provides free literacy services for adults who need to improve their basic academic skills.
