Everyone can do something! Individuals, groups, families, and co-workers; the young and not so young, people with experience and skills, and people just starting out… There's an on-going or a one-time-only opportunity for everyone!

Habitat For Humanity, Stanislaus

Volunteers, skilled and unskilled, assist in all areas of house construction and cleanup under trained supervision. Habitat is building homes from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays in Modesto and will start building on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in Turlock.

Volunteers are also needed in Habitat’s ReStore, which sells building materials and home products to the general public from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. In addition, volunteer mechanics are needed to help with the monthly maintenance of Habitat’s fleet of donated vehicles, including 3 trucks, a van, and a forklift.

Habitat for Humanity addresses the problem of poverty housing by building homes in partnership with families who provide "sweat equity" and benefit from no-interest loans.
