Everyone can do something! Individuals, groups, families, and co-workers; the young and not so young, people with experience and skills, and people just starting out… There's an on-going or a one-time-only opportunity for everyone!

If you can find the time, we can find the need.

Stanislaus Community Aids Project

Volunteers are needed for companionship & friendly visits to chronically ill clients to help them feel less isolated and remain independent. Volunteers may also assist with errands, accompany clients to medical appointments to help advocate for patient rights, & assist with property management details between landlord & tenant with the volunteer support program depending upon client need.

Individuals are asked to volunteer 8 hrs/week for a minimum of 1 year. Volunteers must pass a fingerprint background check, tuberculosis clearance, & attend a 30-hr training program.

Volunteers are also needed to take on leadership roles as SCAP board members and assist with the planning and organization of the annual Home for the Holidays concert featuring the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus and a silent auction at Thomas Downey High School scheduled in December.
