American Cancer Society - Angels On Wheels

Put your care and compassion to good use with the American Cancer Society (ACS) Angels on Wheels program. Volunteer drivers are needed to "chauffeur" cancer patients to and from treatments or medical appointments. Drivers are especially needed in Modesto, Turlock, and Oakdale. "Angel" drivers, with a valid California drivers’s license, proof of insurance and vehicle, are asked to volunteer at least once a month, but may choose to participate more often. Training is provided for all volunteers.

The ACS is a national community-based voluntary health organization that is dedicated to eliminating cancer through active funding support and advocacy for cancer research to save lives; it provides educational and support services to cancer patients and their families.
