Capabilities Emergency mental health assessment and referral services provided for emergent and pre-emergent behavioral health situations in collaboration with families, consumers, law enforcement and emergency room personnel. Some services are provided in the community. Non-crisis services include a consumer and family member-staffed 'Warm Line' and on-site peer support available to consumers and families who need support and referrals. Call to access services or request a psychiatric evaluation.

Capabilities Program provides print information on alcohol, drug and mental health issues and the Friends Are Good Medicine Support Group through the Stanislaus County Website. The program also monitors Driving Under the Influence (DUI), PC1000 (Drug Diversion) and primary AOD prevention programs provided by community-based programs on a contract basis.

Capabilities The Patients' Rights Advocate is an advocate for all consumers receiving mental health, alcohol and drug services in Stanislaus County. Primary responsibility is to ensure that the rights of the mentally disabled are acknowledged and upheld. Advocacy services at administrative hearings and judicial writ hearings are provided for those individuals experiencing involuntary detainment. Training, consultation and client complaints regarding denial of rights are also provided. The Patients' Rights Advocate works independently from all service providers to ensure the consumer's rights are upheld.
