*Contract Program

This program provides intensive housing support services to young adults (18-21) years of age with mental illness who, without this level of service, would be unable to obtain or maintain shelter.  This program also focuses on developing independent living and vocational skills and links clients with outpatient mental health services as indicated.

Assists current BHRS clients with improving their living situation.  Referrals are made through the client's case manager.


Vocational Readiness / Turning Point

*Contract Program

Available to current, interested BHRS clients who qualify for services which include pre-employment training and education and access to Department of Rehabilitation services.  Referrals are made through client's case manager.  For convenience, services are offered at each Regional Team site.

This program provides intensive case management services to individuals experiencing frequent or lengthy periods of involuntary psychiatric hospitalization with a focus on returning and supporting these individuals in community living.  Referrals for service must be made through Regional Service Teams.

Short-term emergency housing for adults with serious mental illness who come into contact with the Stanislaus Homeless Outreach Team or law enforcement.  Services include linkage to behavioral health care providers and a variety of other community resources.  Referrals to the Respite Center are made through law enforcement personnel or the Stanislaus Homeless Outreach program only.

This program provides services for young adults 18-21 years of age with mental illness who demonstrate interest and readiness for self reliance, bur require certain supports to achieve this.  In addition to outpatient mental health services, clients are linked to a variety of community housing, vocational, educational services, as well as peer support.

Spanish, Hindi, and American Sign Language Capabilities

A service for those who have been diagnosed with mental illness and are interested in support or recovery. Consumers must have  completed rehabilitation services, or have no need of intensive case management or crisis intervention services. Peer facilitated groups and activities are free of charge, confidential and available to consumers without a referral.
